turmeric root and turmeric powder

Benefits of Using Turmeric in Skincare (& why we include it in our products)

Grown in Asia and Central America, and part of the ginger family, turmeric is a powerful root herb that has been utilized for its incredible anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties for centuries. The main ingredient in turmeric is polyphenol curcumin, which gives turmeric its bright golden color. Due to its amazing healing effects, Turmeric is a great compound for skincare, especially inflammatory conditions such as acne or psoriasis. Turmeric can be ingested as a nutritional supplement and it is even more effective as a topical treatment. According to an article from Healthline, when turmeric is applied to a wound or lesion such as a cut or blemish on the skin, it works to reduce the body’s natural inflammation response, promoting faster healing.

Studies have shown that turmeric also benefits tissue and collagen production, which gives the skin a healthy luster and glow. The National Library of Public Medicine explains that curcumin has an incredible response to oxidative stress, mostly due to its ability to scavenge for free radicals, which makes it an ideal antioxidant ingredient.

Turmeric isn’t always the easiest ingredient to include in your wellness routine due to its root form and bitter taste, so here at Forever Beaumore, we created the Turmeric Curcumin Gummies. These are great for all skin types and you will look forward to chewing these delicious gummies. They contain a high amount of antioxidants from turmeric and ginger with black pepper for maximum absorption, not to mention the natural peach flavor will have you craving more.
